A reaction to nasal decongestant causes spray mimic symptoms of cluster headache!
Question: I don't have a history of cluster headache. But now I have all the symptoms of a cluster headache only, and it just started today. I used a nasal decongestant because
my allergies were acting up. I am thinking it is a reaction to the spray but a PA thought it was a cluster headache! could you help me?
Answer: Most headaches can be treated using over the counter painkillers like paracetamol, aspirin or ibuprofen and do not require medical attention. First of all you can ask
a pharmacist. They are experts on side effects. You can also go to the library and look in a PDR (physician's desk reference ) for side effects.
