Is this Sinusitis, migraine, cluster headache or a tumor?

Q:I live in a very small town. There are about 6 doctors here total and mine is the only one who accepts new patients. I've tried to get in to the others and that was a no go.

I've been tempted to go to the ER due to the severity of the pain but fear I would be called a drug seeker or some such, so that is -not- an option

I started having a pain behind my right eye. It happened rather suddenly. If I tried looking in various directions the pain increased 10x. The pain would slowly move to the top

and bottom of my eye, and the right side of my head. I now get them 2-3 times a day, usually while I am sleeping and they end up waking me up. The last few days have been -VERY-

bad. To the point where me, a grown man, could cry. My doctor says it is sinusitis and gave me some Augmentin and said it should clear up. That was 2 weeks ago and now she is on

vacation. I'm at a loss and getting kind of worried. I wouldn't mind if it was a headache a week or even a bit more frequent. But 2 or 3 a day? I am afraid to leave the house

for extended periods of time. My right eye constantly feels sore now, I CANNOT touch the eye, period. It hurts far too much. I know I should get to the doctor, but I can't. Not

for another week or so.

A: First of all you should do some sports.

f it is sinusitis, press, your both sides of your cheek bones, about 2 fingers apart from the side of your nose. Next press the bridge of your nose. Does both of them hurt? If

it doesn't, most probably it is not sinusitis.

It sound much more like cluster headache to me.All your symptoms match. But you will need better treatment. It will also be better for you to go to the ER to check yourself out

in case it is something else.
